Be A Part of the Action

Go North KC invites you to share signature events that showcase the vibrancy of the Northland. We feature large, public gatherings that celebrate our unique culture and create meaningful community impact. To qualify for a feature, events must be open to the public, expect over 250 attendees, and involve multiple local businesses or community partners. If your event brings the community together in a big way, submit it today to help us highlight the Northland!

EVENT QUALIFICATIONS

Feel free to share your events with us any time of year—we love showcasing what’s happening in the Northland! We welcome the following types of events:

For the best user experience for larger, public audiences, we kindly ask that you do not submit the event types listed below:

 

  • Events meant for small/private groups
  • Events that could be deemed offensive or exclusive
  • Garage sales/second-hand sales (unless a large event like Junkstock)
  • Meetings
  • League sports
  • Events that are held and hosted by a single private/for-profit company (collaborative events are likely okay)

Frank Vaydik Park

Tucked into Kansas City North, Frank Vaydik Park is home to the Kansas City Northern Miniature Railroad and has versatile green space with playgrounds, picnic areas, and open fields. A popular spot for youth sports and family gatherings.

Hodge Park

At more than 500 acres, Hodge Park blends open meadows with wooded trails. It’s also home to the Shoal Creek Living History Museum, where log cabins and costumed interpreters bring the 19th century to life.

Weston Bend State Park

Overlooking the Missouri River, this state park is famous for its scenic bluff trail and autumn foliage. Hike, picnic, or cycle the paved trails while soaking in panoramic river views.

English Landing Park

English Landing Park is a 68-acre facility – three miles of scenic walking trails paralleling the Missouri River (perfect for biking, walking & running enthusiasts), a large playground area, a boat ramp, picnic shelters, sand volleyball court and a disc golf course. It’s the perfect mix of nature + small-town charm.

Stocksdale Park

Liberty’s local gem, Stocksdale Park features disc golf, sports fields, and a variety of trails. It’s also home to seasonal events and fireworks displays.

Oak Grove Park

Known for its expansive fields, Oak Grove Park is ideal for kite flying, casual walks, or pick-up soccer games.

City of Liberty Park

This centrally located park is Liberty’s community hub, offering playgrounds, shelters, and space for civic events.

Lions Park

A classic neighborhood park with a playground, basketball courts, and open lawns for casual play.

Jesse James Park

In Kearney, Jesse James Park connects to the region’s outlaw history while serving as a modern gathering spot with trails, a lake, and an amphitheater.

Siloam Springs Park

A tranquil, wooded space known for its namesake springs, shaded picnic areas, and bird-watching opportunities.
